Budapest Part 3

I have finished scrapping my Budapest pictures and now need to order pictures from Vienna to scrap the second destination of our holiday.

Ich bin jetzt durch mit meinen Budapest Bildern und muss Fotos von Wien bestellen, um die zweite Hälfte unseres Urlaubs zu scrappen.

Why am I still scared to use the glazed S.E.I. paper and it hurts when cutting into it?

Warum tut es so weh in das glänzende S.E.I. zu schneiden und warum fühle ich mich so schuldig wenn ich das mache?

Phew

On Saturday's crop I finally managed some scrapping again! I can't show the first LO yet because it's for a round of Chinese Whispers (told you it can get a bit like an addiction...) but here is the second one. I'm always surprised at how long it takes to stitch on a LO, the frame must have taken me close to 2 hours...

Auf dem Crop am Samstag hab ich endlich wieder ein bisschen gescrappt! Ich kann das erste LO noch nicht zeigen, weil es für einen Scrapliftzirkel ist (ich sag ja, dass das ein wenig süchtig machen kann...), aber hier ist das zweite. Ich bin immer wieder überrascht, wie lange es dauert, auf einem LO zu sticken, für den Rahmen hab ich fast 2 Stunden gebraucht...

Budapest Part 2

I know I had you waiting for 2 weeks again... but I really didn't do any scrapping after my hols, more likely washing stuff and having some fun with mum who was on her own when we were away.

Ich weiß, schon wieder 2 Wochen nichts Neues...ich bin aber auch einfach nicht zum Scrappen gekommen nach meinem Urlaub, weil ich mich ein wenig meiner Mems widmen musste, die wir ja allein zurück gelassen hatten.

Anyway, today I was on a crop at Scrapbook Sisters which was really relaxing and productive :)

Auf jeden Fall war ich heute auf einem entspannenden Crop der Scrapbook Sisters und habe einiges geschafft :)

We were more than lucky to arrive on Castle Hill in the sunshine as it had been raining for most of the day - but in the sun it was really hot and lovely :)

Wir hatten echtes Glück, dass die Sonne herausgekommen ist, als wir uns den Burgberg angeschaut haben :)

As you might by now have guessed - I never scrap chronologically... These are the pictures taken upon our arrival in Budapest - it was around 20 degree Celsius warmer there than the temperature in Luton that same morning...

Mittlerweile habt ihr bestimmt auch schon längst gemerkt, dass ich nicht in chronologischer Reihenfolge scrappe... Diese Bilder haben wir direkt bei unserer Ankunft in Budapest gemacht, wo es 20 Grad wärmer als in London Luton am gleichem Morgen war....

And I always need to have at least one LO from a holiday featuring the food... God, this little Vendeglö had nice food and sooo little prices compared with the tourist traps :)

Natürlich darf ein LO mit Essen nicht fehlen... Wir haben in einem kleinen Gasthaus gegessen - gutes Essen, und kleine Preise im Vergleich zu den Touristenfallen :)

Scrapping on vacation

Even though we took a bit of stash with us to Vienna and Budapest, my scrapping mood vanished after I had finished this LO. I had started another LO which would not work at all and since I couldn't just leave it and do something else, the scrapping stopped. In fact, I haven't scrapped anything since...

Obwohl wir ein bisschen Material mit nach Wien und Budapest genommen hatten, verschwand meine Scraplaune, nachdem dieses LO fertig geworden war. Ich hatte ein anderes LO angefangen, das so gar nicht funktionieren wollte. Da ich es einfach nicht zur Seite legen und etwas anderes anfangen konnte, blieb das Scrappen auf der Strecke. Um ehrlich zu sein, hab ich seitdem überhaupt nichts mehr gescrappt...

Holiday scrapping

OK, I confess - I took a selection of stash with me on my holiday and used it.

OK, ich gestehe - ich habe eine Stashauswahl mit in den Urlaub genommen.

In Budapest we stayed in an apartment which was huge compared to 'English' standard sizes (ok - we got upgraded and were very lucky). The huge table and the writing desk were far too tempting not to be used - and then there was German TV with my fav comedy programmes. All this meant I spent evenings 2-4 scrapping, watching telly and drinking wine and having a lovely home-cooked dinner.

In Budapest waren wir in einem Apartment untergebracht, das im Vergleich mit den englischen Raum- und Wohnungsgrößen gigantisch wirkte (naja ein wenig Glück hatten wir schon, dass wir upgegraded wurden). Der große Esstisch und Schreibtisch waren einfach zu verlockend und im Fernsehen gabs meine deutschen Lieblingscomedies. All dies führte zu hausgekochtem Abendbrot, Fernsehen und Craften für Abende 2-4.

The pictures for my first projects were developed in an hour service which we found at the end of day 2. Diane probably will have a story related to this.

Die Fotos für meine ersten Urlaubslayouts haben wir in einer Stundenentwicklung am Ende des zweiten Tages entwickeln lassen - Diane wir dazu wahrscheinlich eine Geschichte erzählen.

This LO features me and sis sitting in an airport restaurant waiting for our flight - I think the stress of the last weeks of work is showing quite a bit:

Diane and I walked from our apartment to the Vaci Utca - first we had to walk to the Danube, then through a small park and past the parliament (needless to say that this was a big challenge being as untrained and burned out as we were...)

Diane und ich sind zu Fuß zur Vaci Utca gelaufen, ein bisschen Donauuferpromenade, durch einen kleinen Park, am Parlament vorbei (dies war eine richtige Herausforderung, da wir untrainiert und erschöpft waren...):
